YWCA Charleston invites individuals and teams to run or walk in the 6th Annual Race to End Racism, a 5K Run/1 Mile Walk, on Charleston’s West Side April 23rd at 9:00am! The Race to End Racism, a family-friendly event is held in conjunction with the national YWCA campaign: Stand Against Racism. The event begins and ends at Magic Island in Charleston (corner of Tennessee Avenue and Kanawha Boulevard W.)


The route passes historic landmarks, including churches, Mary C. Snow Elementary, and the Luna Park District. Along with live entertainment at Magic Island, runners, walkers, and their cheering squads will enjoy food, take pictures, win awards and have their faces painted while DJ Woody Woods plays music!
