YWCA NCW and Wenatchee Valley College Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are excited to bring back the in-person portion of Stand Against Racism in the Greater Wenatchee Valley. The first day of this event will take place at the Wenatchee Valley College campus, around the WVC Fountain. There will be community groups, organizations and agencies with tables set up for participants to learn more about what is in the Greater Wenatchee Valley community, a keynote speaker, Dr. Nyle Fort, who brings his expertise on the topic of Critical Race Theory, and the Stand Against Racism Proclamation read by a Wenatchee city official. Later in the day we will facilitate a community march to show our collective commitment to anti-racism.

The second day will take place at the WVC satellite campus in Omak, WA. There will be community groups, organizations and agencies with tables set up for participants to learn more about what is in our broader community, a keynote speaker and the Stand Against Racism Proclamation read by Omak, WA and Okanogan, WA city officials. To end the day, we will facilitate a march in Omak to show our collective commitment to anti-racism.

These events are going to provide an incredible opportunity to bring our communities together in a united mission, to Stand Against Racism.
