YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee will unite voices with community partners at a free public rally on Thursday, May 5th to promote the importance of equity and justice for women and communities of color.  The annual Stand Against Racism rally will feature keynote remarks from celebrated scholar and writer, Caroline Randall Williams, granddaughter of the late Nashville Civil Rights leader, Avon Williams. The Stand Against Racism Rally will also feature music, a voter registration drive, and an advocacy fair.

YWCA will also be presenting the 2022 Carrie Hull Award to an individual who has dedicated her life to promoting the YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
